My aim is to help you deal with and overcome issues that are causing you emotional pain or making you feel uncomfortable. I can help you deal with any negative thoughts and feelings you may have. In my practice, you can talk and express yourself in a confidential, safe, and trustworthy environment. During our sessions, you will be encouraged to express your feelings and emotions. By discussing your concerns, I can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes, as well as identifying ways of finding your own solutions to problems. My focus will be totally in you and I will listen to you empathically without judging or criticising you.
I use an integrative approach which goes beyond one specific theory or set of techniques, thus choosing the most effective ways and adapting them in a more functional approach. The starting point is the diversity and uniqueness of every individual. Therefore, the psychological approach must be diverse and unique too, tailor-made, through the integration and synergy of theories and techniques such as cognitive-behavioural, existential, humanistic and psychodynamic, depending on the particularities and characteristics of the individual: an eclectic way of working, where every session and situation are dealt with individually and uniquely according to your needs.
I can therefore help you:
cope with relationship and couple difficulties (Couple Therapy), sexual issues, cope with feelings of depression or sadness, deal with redundancy or work-related stress, explore issues such as sexual identity and acceptance,
deal with issues preventing you achieving your goals, have a more positive outlook on life,
deal with feelings of anxiety and obsession, worry less about things,
understand yourself and your problems better,
feel more confident and improve your self-esteem,
develop a better understanding of other people's points of view,
face traumas and emotional issues,
go through a grief and loss process.
